Mr. Putin described talks with U.S. officers over two detained Americans, Evan Gershkovich, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, and Paul Whelan, a former Marine and company govt, as “difficult.”

My colleague, the Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich has been held in Lefortovo Prison and not using a trial for 37 weeks. His detention was immediately, once more, the extension on his detention was immediately, once more, upheld. Paul Whelan, one other U.S. citizen, has been in jail for almost 5 years. A spokesman for the U.S. State Department, which considers each males wrongfully detained, not too long ago stated that Moscow had rejected what it referred to as a considerable supply to return each of them to the United States. Is that true? What will it take to deliver them dwelling?
