The Golden Triangle of Freedom
America has functioned remarkably nicely for over 200 years.
Much of that success may be attributed to what historians name the “Golden Triangle of Freedom.” The three factors of the triangle are:
- Liberty.
- Virtue.
- Faith.
The relationship between the three is essential. Each one depends on the opposite for its existence and well-being. Liberty requires advantage. Virtue requires religion. Faith requires liberty.
Liberty is freedom. It’s the flexibility to manipulate oneself. That means you’re free to decide on your personal path as long as what you do positively advantages everybody else locally. The impetus to deal with one another with that stage of respect comes from advantage. And the supply of advantage is religion. People are inclined to concentrate on themselves except they imagine in one thing or Someone better than them who infuses their lives with that means and objective.
Faith is such a robust affect in a group that its existence may be – and is – threatened. Our Founders constructed spiritual freedom into the material of our nation for good motive. Religious custom is an essential underpinning to all different freedoms we take pleasure in.
Our nation is just not self-sustaining. We should all do our half to guard the “Golden Triangle of Freedom.” It’s as much as you and me to maintain the promise of our republic alive.
