Woman Escapes Bear Attack By Punching It In The Face
A Washington state lady escaped a bear assault outdoors her residence with accidents on Saturday morning after she hit it within the face, in line with a wildlife official.
The unnamed lady in Leavenworth was charged by an grownup feminine black bear as she was letting her canine out, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife stated in a statement.
She sustained non-life-threatening accidents and was taken to an space hospital. The bear was killed later than morning by wildlife officers, and two cubs had been captured and brought to a wildlife rehabilitation facility, the assertion stated.
State wildlife biologist Rich Beausoleil informed Seattle’s KING-TV that the lady made the fitting name by attacking the bear after she was knocked to the bottom.
“She didn’t see it coming, so she could not make herself big, clap her hands, you know, yell at the bear, wave her arms,” Beausoleil informed the station. “Those are the things we usually tell people to do.”
“If the bear knocks you down, then yes, your solution is to fight.”
“It was just instinct for her,” he added. “She just turned around and popped it right in the nose.”
The lady reportedly informed authorities that after she hit the bear, it “shook” and took off.
Wildlife officers stated the bear was put down as a result of it was chubby, indicating that it had possible been eating leftovers and trash, KING-TV reported.
Washington hasn’t had a deadly black bear assault since 1974, the Department of Fish and Wildlife stated. They’ve recorded 19 encounters with people leading to accidents since 1970.
